Golf Umbrellas Make Perfect Promotional Gifts

by Gareth Parkin

For those customers who have just about everything, a business may find itself wondering what to offer as promotional items. A certain level of clientele may routinely hand off advertising giveaways to their staff, as a result of being inundated with small tokens from various suppliers. So what's a good idea for those folks who deserve something a bit upscale and unique, but still gets your company name noticed?
Promotional umbrellas, printed with your name or logo, may be just the answer.
If your customer is a golfer, sooner or later he or she will use this promotional gift. You can be confident that it will be noticed by many others! If play is taking place at a private or country club, chances are that your name will be remembered by those who are either treating their own customers and/or are regulars themselves. This is a segment of the population that prides itself on "being in the know" and may request information regarding your business from your customer using the umbrella. If your umbrella is seen at a public course, it will, in all likelihood, be seen by even more golfers, although possibly not as many in the high-level, corporate decision-making capacity. In either venue, a promotional golf umbrella allows your advertising pound to stretch quite far!
But what if your customers don't golf? You may consider still giving them one, in hopes that they use it for daily street use-which they probably would-but then again, you may want their promotional item to be just a little more special and attention getting. In that case, you could consider a promotional, printed beach umbrella...
Even if you suspect that a client would rather visit the countryside or mountains than the seashore, a "beach" umbrella is not just for the beach; it's for anywhere that someone needs broad and sturdy protection from the sun for an extended amount of time-and that's just about everyone! Using such an umbrella on a crowded patch of sand at a popular resort, though, will ensure that dozens see your company name, logo or motto for up to several hours, if not most of a day. (It may even serve as a "sign post" for people to find their belongings as they head out of the water; your name will definitely be remembered after that!)
When customers utilize your promotional golf or beach umbrella, they will be doing so on their "off hours", along with friends and associates. In such a relaxed and friendly environment, people are more apt to pay more attention to umbrellas that have advertising "messages". You will reach potential customers in a manner they'll recollect and associate with fun times once they return to the business world.
If you are afraid that your clients already have enough golf and beach umbrellas, there is no reason to worry-not only will well-made, custom imprinted umbrellas last for years, your advertising message will still be seen when the umbrellas are used by other friends or family members of your clients. Rarely are good quality umbrellas ever thrown away!
Printed golf and beach umbrellas are indeed a "luxury" type of advertising promotion, but for your important clients and the opportunity to attract others, they're a very wise choice!
